HOW TO GET LIMOUSINE LICENCE?

When it comes to laws and regulations, Dubai is very strict. So, if you want to start a limousine company, you'll need drivers who have valid driver's licenses and have passed the vision, theory, and road tests. This is a step-by-step guide on how to obtain a limousine license in Dubai.

STEPS WHILE APPLYING FOR THE LICENSE:

  1. Assembling the relevant documentation and papers to present to the authorities is the first step.

  • A passport (with a resident stamp) and photocopies of it

  • Your employer's No-Objection Certificate (NOC)

  • Your 8 photographs

  1. Obtain an eye examination from a licensed external optician. You cannot get a limousine license in Dubai unless you have a positive eye test result.

  2. To the Road Transport Authority (RTA) department, submit the necessary documents. If you apply to a driving school, the school will deal with the RTA on your behalf.

  3. The RTA will issue you a temporary driver's license. During your lesson, you'll need to keep the RTA's temporary license on you at all times.

  4. After you've completed your preparation, you will apply for your theory test, which will ask you to answer 35 questions. This test will take place in one of the five approved driving schools. You'll need to bring a valid ID, two pictures, and your temporary driver's license.

  5. The final step is to take the road test after you have completed your theory test and preparation. Your road test will be scheduled, and you must appear on time with your passport, driving record, and two photographs at the RTA license section of your driving school. Fill out the application and submit it along with the AED 200 test fee.

  6. If you pass, take your inspector's approval certificate and go to the pass counter with your appropriate ID and AED 100 to get your test paper. This test file must be sent to the control counter. All of your records and test reports will be processed, and your name will be called, and you will obtain your driver's license within 15 minutes.

  7. If you fail the theory exam, you'll have to take seven more lessons at the driving school before qualifying for the next one.
